College textbooks are going the way of Netflix — Quartz I strongly suspect that even physical College and University campuses will morph into small chat facilities needed only for papers, research, counselling, and theses presentations. Textbooks will disappear as they are now, and be online only, as more students and faculty purchase and use iPads and iPhones. Laptops and desktops will be a thing of the past.
